PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN ASAM BUTIRAT DALAM RANSUM TERHADAP KUALITAS TELUR AYAM PETELUR FASE PRODUKSI III
The purpose of this research was known the effect addition butyric acid to egg weight, albumin weight, yolk weight, and haugh unit value. This research was conducted for 2 months at layer farming cage in Suka Makmur Village, Talang KelapaSubdistrict, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatera Province.The research method used is Completely Randomized Design (RAL) consisting of 4 treatments 5 replications. The treatment consists of R0 (control), R1 (addition of butyric acid0,175 g/kg rations), R2 (addition of butyric acid 0,350 g/kg rations), R3 (addition of butyric acid 0,525 g/kg rations). The parameters observed included egg weight, albumin weight, yolk weight, and haugh unit value.The results showed that the addition butyric acid in laying hens in last phase was not significant (P>0,05) to egg weight, albumin weight, yolk weight, and haugh unit value. The conclusion of this study that the addition butyric acid in the rations has not been able to improve the quality of laying hens egg phase production III.
