Overnutrition is a global epidemic that occurs in all age groups. Based on Basic Health Research data (2018), the average prevalence of overweight in all provinces in Indonesia is 20%, (10.8% is in the overweight category and 9.2% is in the obese category). Two factors that play a very important role in determining a person's nutritional status are errors in food intake (consumption of fast food containing cholesterol, fat, and high calories) and low physical activity (excessive duration of gadget use causes a person to do less physical activity). The type of research used is quantitative with correlative analytic method. This study tries to find the relationship between the independent variable (fast food consumption and duration of gadget use) and the dependent variable (overnutrition) using a cross-sectional study approach. A total of 22 people (38.6%) out of 57 respondents often consume fast food and 18 people have more nutritional status (overweight and obesity). Meanwhile, 39 people (68.4%) out of 57 respondents often use gadgets (> 2 hours/day) and 22 people have more nutritional status. The results showed that the Chi-Square test analysis of the relationship between fast food consumption and more nutrition showed a p-value of 0.001 < 0.05, meaning that there was a significant relationship between fast food consumption and overnutrition in children at SDIT At-Taqwa Gumawang, East OKU Regency in 2021. While the results of the Chi-Square test analysis of the relationship between the duration of gadget use and overnutrition, the p-value is 0.578 > 0.05, meaning that there is no significant relationship between the duration of gadget use and overnutrition in children at SDIT At-Taqwa. Gumawang, East OKU Regency in 2021. Excessive consumption of fast food has an impact on more nutritional status, while the duration of using gadgets has no relationship with the occurrence of overnutrition. For students at SDIT At-Taqwa Gumawang, it is recommended to reduce consumption of fast food, by bringing lunch to school and increasing physical activity in the form of outdoor games.
