This study aims to determine the relationship between adversity quotient and future orientation in juvenile prisoners in class II prisons. The hypothesis of this research is that there is a relationship between adversity quotient anda future orientation. The population of this research is male juvenile prisoners aged 12-22 years who are juvenile inmates in class II prisons in Pekanbaru City, amounting to 168 people. The research sample was 114 people and for try out as 32 people. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. This study uses two scales as a measuring tool, namely the future orientation scale which refers to the future orientation aspect of Nurmi (1991) and the adversity quotient scale which refers to the adversity quotient dimension of Stoltz (2000).
