PENGGUNAAN ALAT POWER THRESHER MODIFIKASI PISAU SIKU UNTUK PENGURAIAN SABUT KELAPA (Cocos nucifera, Linneaeus)
The research objective was to determine the performance of the modified power thresher engine to a machine to decomposition coconut coir at various rotational speeds of the elbow blades and the conditions of the coconut coir material. It was conducted from from February 2021 to March 2021 at the Laboratory of Tool and Machine Workshop, Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. The research used factorial Randomized Block Design (RAKF) with two research factors, namely material condition (A) and blade rotation speed (B) with three treatment levels and three repetitions.The observed parameters were the Effective capacity of the engine, fuel consumption and the yield of decomposition. The results showed that the highest engine effective value was found in the combination of 2 weeks of material condition treatment with 21.5% air content and 1150 rpm (A3B2) blade rotation speed of 74.74 kg / hour, while for treatment combination one the lowest day with a water content of 52.9% coconut fiber and a knife rotating speed of 1000 rpm, namely 5.14 kg / hour. The treatmen of rotational speed and material has a significant effect on the effective capacity of the engine and the yield of decomposition, while the treatment of the condition of the material has no significant effect on fuel consumption.
