KEMAMPUAN NUMERASI SISWA KELAS VIII DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL TIPE TIMSS PADA MATERI PERSAMAAN GARIS LURUS DI MASA PANDEMI COVID-19
This research is a descriptive study with qualitative appoarch that purpose to descriptive the students’ numeracy skills class VIII in solving TIMSS type questions material on straight line equation during the covid-19 pandemic. The subject of this research are 5 students of class VIII.1 Junior High School 13 Palembang. The data collection techniques used was giving test questions in the form of descriptions and interviews. After the research was carried out, the results of the student’s numeracy skills ini solving TIMSS type questions on the straight line equation material had appeared a lot even though there were students who did not. An indicator that often appears is analyzing information that is presented in various forms (graphs, tables, charts, diagrams and so on). The indicators that appear most rarely are those that use various kinds of numbers or symbols related to mathematics in solving problems of everyday life. The cause of this indicator rarely appears, students have difficulty in determining what steps are used to solve the questions and students do not practice non-routine straight line equations and students lack understanding of the concept of the material.
