Dental and oral health is one component of health that can affect the general development of humans. One of the most common dental and oral health problems is dental caries. Dental caries is a disease of the hard tissues of the teeth due to bacterial activity resulting in (softening) of the hard tissues of the teeth followed by the formation of cavities (cavities). Where dental caries is classified as a serious disease. Therefore, this study developed an expert system for early diagnosis of dental caries using the Bayesian Network method where a comparison was made of the data obtained from the Gelumbang Health Center with the system that had been created to determine the accuracy of the system. By using 100 patient data and diagnosing 16 symptoms of dental caries obtained by interviewing experts, the accuracy results obtained from this study were 87%. So it is concluded that the system built using the Bayesian Network method has good accuracy in determining the type of dental caries experienced by the patient.
