HUBUNGAN ANTARA ADULT ATTACHMENT DAN ROMANTIC BELIEFS PADA WANITA DEWASA AWAL YANG SEDANG DALAM HUBUNGAN BERPACARAN
The aim of this study is examining whether there is a relationship between adult attachment and romantic beliefs in youth adulthood woman on dating status. This first hypothesis of this study that there is a positive relationship between the dimensions of adult attachment, namely anxiety attachment and romantic beliefs, and the second hypothesis in this study that there is a negative relationship between the dimension of adult attachment, namely attachment avoidance and romantic beliefs. This study used 152 respondents of young adulthood woman on dating status in Indonesian. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling technique. The measuring instrument that used is the adult attachment scale which refers to the dimensions of adult attachment by Fraley, Heffernan, Vicary and Brumbaugh (2011) and the romantic belief scale which refers to the dimensions of romantic belief by Sprecher and Metts (1989). Data analysis on the first hypothesis used spearman rank and data analysis on the second hypothesis used the pearson’s product moment. The results of the analysis on the first hypothesis of this study used the spearman rank obtained a correlation coefficient value of 0.040 with p = 0.624 (p> 0.05). This indicates that there is no significant relationship between anxiety attachments and romantic beliefs. Thus, the first hypothesis in this study is rejected.
