The effect of noise intensity on human health is damage to hearing. One of them that can occur is tinnitus where this condition gives the sufferer a ringing or buzzing sensation. This research was conducted at PT. Ginting Jaya Energi, Tbk Rig 04 Banyuasin South Sumatra, by measuring noise intensity using a sound level meter and to find out tinnitus complaints using a Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (THI) questionnaire. This research is a quantitative study using a cross-sectional research design with an observational analytic character. The population of this study were all workers of Rig 04 contractors, with a sample of 65 workers. The noise intensity in this study comes from 4 sources, namely the generator engine of 90.30 dBA. Meanwhile, the pump engine has a noise intensity of 90.00 dBA. Meanwhile, the welding machine has a noise intensity below 80.10 dBA and the rig carrier has a noise intensity of 85 dBA. The results showed that there was a relationship between tinnitus complaints and noise intensity (p-value = 0.005), worker age (p-value = 0.000), length of exposure (p-value = 0.014), smoking habits (p-value = 0.036), and use of ear protective equipment (p-value = 0.006), and there is no relationship between tinnitus complaints and years of service (p-value = 0.838). There is a correlation between noise intensity and tinnitus complaints after being controlled by the variable age of workers. Noise intensity as the main independent variable in this study is for every 1 dB increase in noise intensity, tinnitus complaints will increase by 2.254 degrees after controlling for the variable age of the worker.
