Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) is one of the health problems that can be found in informal and vulnerable workers in workers of songket craftsmen. Lack of understanding of songket craftsmen about how the position of the body when working well and properly as well as the demands of profession to work can cause complaints of Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs). The study wanted to see factors related to the complaint of Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) in the traditional songket craftsmen in Kelurahan 30 Ilir subdistrict Ilir Barat II Palembang. The measuring instruments used in this research are the Nordic Body Map sheet (NBM) and the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA). The samples on this study were 84 people. This research is a quantitative study with Cross Sectional design. Sampling is done by Non Probability Sampling with Purposive Sampling technique. Data was analyzed using univariate analysis to view data distribution and bivariate analysis to determine the relationship of variables using the Chi-Square test. The results of the study gained that the age variable (p-value 0.04), the working period (P-value 0.006), the exercise habit (P-value 0.002), the duration of the work (P-value 0036), and the awkward posture (p-value 0.031) were at risk for causing the complaints of Musculoskeletal Disorders ( MSDs) on Songket craftsmen in Kelurahan 30 Ilir District, Ilir Barat II, Palembang. By exercising regularly in each week and eating nutritious food can be done by respondents to minimize the complaints of Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs).
