HUBUNGAN HIGIENE SANITASI PADA MINUMAN SARI BUAH (JUICE) DENGAN KONTAMINASI TOTAL BAKTERI COLIFORM DI WILAYAH KECAMATAN KAYUAGUNG KOTA KAYUAGUNG
Coliform bacteria microorganisms that can be used as indicator to define the quality of water. Total Coliform bacteria infection usually through the consumption of contaminated drink, like use water that was not proceeded first. Fruit juice drinks with contaminated of total Coliform bacteria would bring a disease which is a diarrhea. This research aims to determine the relationship between sanitation hygiene in fruit juice drinks and total Coliform bacteria contamination in the Kayuagung area, Kayuagung City. This research design is qualitative using descriptive method. Data collection in this research was carried out by means of observation, interviews and total examination of Coliform bacteri. Data collection tools for In-depth Interview Guidelines, Observation Sheet (Checklist), Laboratory Examination, MPN Method (Most Probable Number), and Documentation Tools. The results of this research are: From 10 samples of fruit juice (Juice), the results are total coliform contamination based on the results of laboratory checks. Of the 10 fruit juice, each of 10 fruit juice was based on total Coliform bacteria, all of them met the predetermined quality standards (HK.00.06.1.52.4011), namely 2x101/ml. However, most traders have not met the criteria for sanitation hygiene according to the Indonesian Minister of Health Decree No. 942 of 2003, both in terms of personal hygiene, equipment sanitation hygiene, and sanitation hygiene for the place of selling. It’s necessary to increasing the knowledge about hygiene sanitation by giving a counseling and awareness from the Kayuagung City Government..
