STUDI KEMAMPUAN SISWA DALAM MENGINTERPRETASIKAN GRAFIK KINEMATIKA DI SMA NEGERI 1 RANTAU PANJANG
This study aims to see the ability of students at SMA Negeri 1 Rantau Panjang in interpreting kinematics graphs, with the research subjects being 60 students in semester 5. Data were collected using kinematics questions from the Test of Understanding Graphs In Kinematics (TUG-K) instrument. The research was conducted using descriptive methods. The results showed that the students' ability to interpret the s-t graph to determine the speed of 21.11% (low category), interpret the v-t graph to determine the acceleration of 7.78% (very poor category), interpret the v-t graph to determine the distance and displacement of 13, 89% (very poor category), interpreted the graph to determine the speed change of 8.89% (very poor category), interpreted the graph to be converted into another graph of 1.11% (very poor category), interpreted the graphic to be converted into a textual description motion of 0.33% (very poor category), interpreting to change the textual description of motion into a graphic of 0% (very poor category). Students' scores in interpreting kinematics graphs include students often reading values on the vertical axis of the graph and placing them in equations they know.
