This study aims to determine the factors of children's interest in traditional games in the hamlet of Margodadi Pandan Lagan village. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study using interviews and observations with research subjects of this study were 6 people consisting of 3 children who played traditional games and 3 children who did not play traditional games. The results showed that the traditional games of gobak sodor and engklek had many good values, in the process of child development, namely cooperation, strategizing, sportsmanship and discipline of children. Children are attracted to traditional games because the games were cheap, the playing time was flexible, the play location could be anywhere, the games were easy, many or few people could play, and the games were not dangerous. Children who do not participate in playing traditional games are due to playing smart phone and online games at home. The traditional games of gobak sodor and engklek are rarely played by children in the hamlet of Margodadi in Pandan Lagan village because of the lack of invitation from friends to play this traditional game.
