PENGARUH VARIASI ARUS LISTRIK DAN POLA GERAKKAN ELEKTRODA TERHADAP UJI TARIK MATERIAL ST 37 PADA PENYAMBUNGAN LAS SMAW
This study aims to determine the effect of variations in electric current and electrode movement pattern on the tensile test of St 37 steel in SMAW welding. In this study, the electric currents used were 80 A and 100 A with a zigzag and circular pattern. There were four specimens in this study, specimen I with a current of 80 A in a zigzag pattern, specimen II with a current of 80 A in a circular pattern, specimen III with a current of 100 A in a zigzag pattern, and specimen IV with a current of 100 A in a circular pattern. The method used in this research is the experimental method. The specimens that have been welded with different currents and patterns are then tested for strength by tensile testing. The research specimen data obtained from the tensile test were then processed and analyzed. The results of the research are the largest tensile stress value is 400,801 MPa (Specimen IV), the smallest tensile stress value is 322.72 MPa (Specimen I). The largest yield stress is 191.291 MPa (specimen IV), the smallest yield stress is 130.13 MPa (specimen I). The largest fracture stress is 400,801 MPa (specimen IV), the smallest fracture stress is 294.961 MPa (specimen II). The smallest strain is 5% (Specimen I), the largest strain is 22% (Specimen IV). There was an increase in the value of tensile stress and strain in the study, where specimen I had the smallest test result value and the value continued to increase until specimen IV with the largest test result value.
