PENGARUH VARIASI WAKTU PENAHANAN PADA PROSES HARDENING TERHADAP LAJU KOROSI PADA BAJA ST 37
In this industrial era 4.0, there are many metals used in everyday life. Metal has a problem that the metal will experience damage due to a reaction with the surrounding environment called corrosion. Problems with the metal can be solved by changing the nature of the metal. One of the processes of repairing metal properties is using heat treatment methods. In this study will conduct the process of hardening heat with variations in time containment that aims to find out how much influence the heat treatment has on the rate of corrosion in ST37 steel. The variation in the time simplification is 5 minutes, 10 minutes and 15 minutes with a corrosive medium of hydrochloric acid solution (HCL). In the results of the study, there is an effect on corrosion rate with a percentage of damage of 15.43% in the hold time of 5 minutes, 15.60%. in hold time of 10 minutes, and 16.99% hold time of 15 minutes.
