PENGARUH INTERVAL PENYIRAMAN TERHADAP HASIL MICROGREENS BAYAM (Amaranthus sp.) PADA BERBAGAI KOMPOSISI MEDIA TANAM
This research was conducted in Karang Raja Village, East Prabumulih District, Prabumulih City, South Sumatra Province. The research carried out from September to July 2021. This study aims to obtain the best combination of growing media and watering intervals in amaranth microgreens cultivation. The research method used in this study was a Factorial Completely Random Design with 3 replications, where the main plot was the watering interval. Watering interval once a day (P1), watering every 2 days (P2), while subplots are the composition of planting media with 7 levels of treatment, consisting of: M1: 100% soil, M2: 75% soil + 25% compost, M3: 50% soil + 50% compost, M4: 25% soil + 75% compost, M5: 75% soil + 25% cocopeat, M6: 50% soil + 50% cocopeat, M7: 25% soil + 75% cocopeat. The parameters observed were percentage of germination , plant height, root length, plant fresh weight, root fresh weight, pH value, and humidity of plant media. After conducting the research, the results showed that the combination of 75% soil + 25% compost with watering once a day produced the best plant weight root weight, and soil moisture in the growth of amaranth microgreens. Based on the results of the study, it is suggested that in amaranth microgreens cultivation, planting should be done with watering once a day or a composition of 25% soil + 75% compost to produce the best percentage of germination, plant weight, root weight and soil moisture for amaranth microgreens cultivation
