OPTIMASI DENSITAS IKAN SELINCAH (Belontia hasselti) UKURAN 8 CM PADA TRANSPORTASI SISTEM TERTUTUP DAN PEMBERIAN PAKAN YANG BERBEDA PASCATRANSPORTASI
Belontia hasselti is a type of fish that lives in peat swamp waters and has a high economic value because it is used as consumption fish. The purpose of this research were to determine the best stocking density for B. hasselti size 8 cm during the closed system transportation process and suitable feed during recovery period. This research was carried out in Tanjung Baru Village, Indralaya Utara District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province and the Aquaculture Laboratory and Basic Fisheries Laboratory, Study Program of Aquaculture, Department of Fisheries, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The research was carried out from January - February 2021. The first experiment was a completely randomized design using 4 treatments difference of B. hasselti density during 24 hour transportation, including P1 (density of 38 fish L-1), P2 (density of 42 fish L-1), P3 (density of 46 fish L-1) and P4 (density of 50 fish L-1). The second experiment was given different feeding on post transportation. The treatments were Q1 (Tubifex sp.), Q2 (Chironomu sp.) dan Q3 (commercial feed). Parameters observed were survival rate, blood glucose, oxygen consumption level and water qualities (temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, and ammonia). The best result was showed in P3 (46 fish L-1) with survival rate was 100%, oxygen consumption level was 0.062±0.012 mg O2 g-1 hour -1 and blood glucose level was 123 mg dL-1. In the recovery time the best result of feed eficiency value, survival rate and absolute weight growth were 23.7%, 100% and 1.07 g that found in Q1 (Tubifex sp.) with blood glucose level was 65.33 mg dL-1 and oxygen consumption level was 0.069 mg O2 g-1 hour -1. The results of water quality measurement after transportation showed that temperature 27.6-28,0°C, dissolved oxygen 5.4-6.4 mg L-1, pH 6.0-6.7 and ammonia 0.057-0.069 mg L-1. Results of water quality measurement in recovery time showed that temperature 26.9-30.6°C, dissolved oxygen 5.9-6.5 mg L-1, pH 6.6-6.9, and ammonia 0.028-0.036 mg L-1. The water qualitiy in this study were still optimal for survival of B. hasselti. Keywords : Belontia hasselti, density, feed, recovery, transportation
