This study aims to see how the role of guidance and counseling teachers is in developing student character through guidance and counseling services during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted in one of the junior high schools in Bangka Belitung Province, namely SMPN 1 Mendo Barat. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The analysis of this research was carried out based on 4 indicators of the student's character, namely thought, heart, taste, and exercise. The subjects in this study were 2 guidance and counseling teachers and 3 students at SMPN 1 Mendo Barat. The results show that the character of students during this pandemic has decreased and the role of guidance and counseling teachers to improve the expected character through guidance and counseling services has been running effectively but not optimally.
