ANALISIS PERTUMBUHAN EKONOMI, AGLOMERASI DAN INDEKS PEMBANGUNAN MANUSIA TERHADAP KETIMPANGAN PEMBANGUNAN EKONOMI REGIONAL TAHUN 2011-2018 (STUDI KASUS PULAU SUMATERA)
This study aims to analyze the inequality of development between regions and the effect of economic growth, agglomeration and human development index on regional economic development inequality on the island of Sumatra. This study using the Theil Entropy Index method to describe the level of inequality and panel data analysis using the OLS (Ordinary Least Squares) method with Fixed Effect Model (FEM) estimation. The results of the study show that (a) Theil entropy index on Sumatra Island is 0.72 or close to 1, which means that the level of inequality on Sumatra Island is high, where the highest inequality is in the Riau Islands at 3.60, and the lowest in Lampung is 0. 42. (b) According to panel data regression analysis with FEM estimates, it shows that there is a positive and significant effect of economic growth, agglomeration, and human development index on regional economic development inequality in Sumatra Island in 2011-2018.
