This study aims to determine the level of contribution of local taxes and local levies to Local Original Income (PAD) and how much effective local taxes and levies are. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. The usedis the theory of devotion. The data used are data on regional taxes and regional levies as well as data on local revenue from 2015 to 2020. The data analysis technique used is contribution analysis and effectiveness analysis. The results of this study indicate that the contribution of local taxes is very good, while the effectiveness of local taxes in Palembang City is effective. Meanwhile, the contribution of regional levies to Palembang City's PAD is very low, and the effectiveness of regional levies is effective.
