PENGARUH JUMLAH PISAU DAN KECEPATAN PUTARAN PISAU TERHADAP PRODUKSI KERIPIK SINGKONG (MANIHOT ESCULENTA) MENGGUNAKAN MESIN PERAJANG SINGKONG TIPE MW-125
The cassava chopper machine is a tool used to facilitate the process of slicing cassava in order to obtain good quality cassava chips. Many factors affect the performance of the cassava chopper machine, one of which is the number of blades used and the rotational speed of the disc. This study aims to determine the effect of number of kinives and the disk rotation speedon ther performance of the cassava chopper machine. This research was conducted from April 2021 to May 2021. In this study, using different numbers of knives, namely 2 knives, 3 knives and 4 knives and using three disc rotation speed, namely 800 rpm, 700 rpm and 600 rpm. And in each experiment using three repetitions. This research used experimental design method, namely factorial completely randomized design with the parameters of the work capacity of the chip slicer, the damage to the chips and the thickness of the chips. The results of this study indicate that the results of the highest chip cutting capacity were found in the A1B1 experiment with a disk rotation speed of 800 rpm and using 2 knives, namely 42,60 kg / hour. While the highest percentage of cut damage was found in the A2B3 sample (disc rotation speed of 700 rpm and 4 knives) which was 49,06%. The results of the study on the thickness of the cut showed that the A3B3 sample (600 rpm disk rotation speed with 4 knives) was 2,02 mm.
