SUPLEMENTASI PROBIOTIK LOKAL DARI SILASE KUMPAI TEMBAGA (Hymenachne acutigluma) TERHADAP KUALITAS KARKAS AYAM LAYER JANTAN
The study aims to determine the effect of local probiotic from (Hymenachne acutigluma) silage on the live weight, carcass percentage and sliced carcass percentage of male layer chicken. The research lasted for 8 weeks in the Laboratory for Poultry Testing Cages Animal Science Study Program Major of Livestock Technology and Industry Faculty of Agriculture Sriwijaya University. The method used in this study was an experimental method and a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) using 100 male layer chickens MB-502 with details of 5 treatments, 4 replications and each replication contained 5 male layer chickens so that there were 20 experimental units. The treatments used in this study P0 (ration without treatment/control), P1 (ration + 0,2% probiotic), P2 (ration + 0,4% probiotic), P3 (ration + 0,6% probiotic) and P4 (ration + 0,8% probiotic). The variables observed were live weight, carcass percentage and sliced carcass percentage (breast, thighs, drumstick, back and wings).
