Feed is one of the factors that affect the growth of fish that are cultivated. Feed ingredients are derived from plant and animal materials to meet the nutritional needs of fish. Plant materials commonly used as a constituent of fish feed are soybean meal and bran. Lamtoro seed meal can also be used as a source of plant protein and can even substitute a portion of soybeans in feed formulations. However, these plant materials contain phytic acid which is difficult for fish to digest. Therefore, it is necessary to add the phytase enzyme to hydrolyze the phytic acid. The purpose of this study was to determine the best dose of phytase enzyme addition in plant based feed containing phytic acid (soybean meal, bran, and lamtoro seed meal) for catfish. This study used a completely randomized design consisting of five treatments and three replications. P0 (without the addition of phytase enzymes), P1 (addition of phytase enzymes 30 mg / 100 g of plant materials), P2 (addition of phytase enzymes 40 mg/100 g of plant materials), P3 (addition of phytase enzymes 50 mg/100 g of plant materials) and P4 (addition of phytase enzymes 60 mg/100 g plant materials). The results showed that P1 was the best result with length growth of 3.17 cm, weight growth of 6.62 g, feed efficiency of 69.08%, feed consumption of 316.14 g, survival rate 100%. The quality of the water obtained during the research is the temperature ranges from 26.1-28.7℃, pH of 6.5-7.6, dissolved oxygen of 4.16-6.29 mg L-1 and ammonia of 0.07-0.20 mg L-1.
