This research was aimed to design a pineapple leaf fiber loom, test the effective capacity, theoretical capacity, and work efficiency of the pineapple leaf fiber loom, and determine the tensile strength of the pineapple leaf fiber cloth. This research was conducted from October 2020 to March 2021 at the Workshop and Agricultural Machinery Laboratory, Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Inderalaya. This research method consists of three stages, namely the design approach stage, which consists of determining the design criteria, functional design and structural design, the manufacturing and assembly stages, the structural design testing phase, functional and performance testing. The results showed that the effective working capacity of the pineapple leaf fiber loom had values of 14.92 m/h, 14.92 m/h, and 16.5 m/h. The working value of the theoretical capacity of the pineapple leaf fiber loom showed that the results of the theoretical work capacity carried out by 3 experiments resulted in 900 cm2 of the result of 30 cm times 30 cm on the surface of the pineapple leaf fiber woven fabric. The results of the work efficiency values of the pineapple leaf fiber loom are 60%, 70%, and 54%.
