This study aims to analyze market structure in the banking industry and the effect of market structure on the performance of banking industry. The data used in this study is secondary data sourced from the Indonesian Banking Directory and Publication Reports published by the Financial Services Authority from 2015 to 2019. The method used in this researchisis the method of Concentration Ratio (CR4) and the method of regression analysis of panel data with Fixed Effect Model approach. Based on the calculation of Concentration Ratio (CR4) shows that the market structure of the banking industry in Indonesia is in the form of monopolistic competition. The results of statistical tests showed that the structural variable of asset market share has a negative and significant effect on the performance of the banking industry in Indonesia. The DPK as control variable has a positive and significant effect on the banking industry in Indonesia.
