This study aim to describe the efforts to develop the responsibility character, the supporting factors for the growth of the responsibility character, and the inhibiting factors for the growth of the responsibility character by parents during the Covid�19 pandemic at SD Negeri 05 Indralaya. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The data collection techniques used were interviews and open questionnaires. The sample in this study were the parents of class IIB and IIC students. The results showed that the efforts to develop the responsibility character by parents include: providing understanding to children (teaching), being role models for children (exemplary), involving children in daily activities (habituation), providing a safe, comfortable, and fun environment for children (motivation), and train children to obey the rules (rule enforcement). Supporting factors for the development of the responsibility character include: giving appreciation to children, many parties who play a role, children understand the meaning of responsibility, and parents understand the child's condition. The inhibiting factors for the development of responsibility character include: children are too busy playing, parents never give examples first, parents are too rude, and children feel bored.
