PENGARUH VERMIKOMPOS DAN KOMPOS TERHADAP pH, FOSFOR TANAH DAN PRODUKSI BAWANG MERAH (Allium ascalonicum L.) PADA SISTEM TERAPUNG
The low production of shallot is partly due to the suboptimal technical culture system in its cultivation. One way to improve shallot cultivation is by adding vermicompost fertilizer and compost. In addition to the land, shallot plants can also be planted in polybag with a floating system that using a raft. The advantage of a floating farming system is that it does not need to be watered because water diffuses from under the media. This research uses Factorial Randomized Block Design method consisting of 2 factors, namely vermicompost and compost. Thus, in total there were 24 treatment combinations (4 x 2 x 3 replications). This research was carried out in the Floating Agriculture Field and Soil Fertility Chemistry Laboratory, Soil Science Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. This research will be conducted in September to December 2019. The results showed that the administration of vermicompost significantly affected soil pH. But no significant effect on soil phosphor and shallot production in floating farming system. Giving compost has no significant effect on soil pH, soil phosphor and shallot production in floating farming system. The combination of vermicompost and compost has no significant effect on soil pH, soil phospho and shallot production in floating farming system. Keywords : Floating agriculture, Vermicompost, Compost, Shallot.
