This study aims to determine the role of the Komunitas Berani Bergerak in supporting Kampung Kapitan as a tourist destination for Palembang City. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological type, the social situation in this study is the chairman of the Komunitas Berani Bergerak, members of the Komunitas Berani Bergerak, Kampung Kapitan housekeepers, head of the tourism section of the department of culture and tourism as actors. Educating through the learning house and reading room of Kampung Kapitan, cleaning the environment, promoting on Instagram, training to make your own business as an activity, Kampung Kapitan as a place to be researched. The subjects in the study are five informants. This study uses three role indicators including raising public awareness, conveying information, and training. Data collection is carried out by using documentation techniques, interviews, and observations. Based on the analysis conducted by the researchers, it can be concluded that there are 3 roles performed by the community in supporting Kampung Kapitan. The first role is raising public awareness by reminding the community about protecting the environment and establishing reading rooms and study houses to increase their desire to improve their knowledge. The next role is conveying information through socializing on Instagram social media by uploading community activities and promoting the sale of kemplang products and Kampung Kapitan coffee powder.The third role, which is training, means that the community invites the people of Kampung Kapitan to build their own business to get greater benefits. From the three roles mentioned above, the most widely carried out role in supporting Kampung Kapitan as a tourist destination for Palembang City is by raising public awareness.
