This objective of this study is to analyze the potential sectors and the development strategies implemented for the potential sectors in the area of Kapal Betung. The data used in this study are Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at the Constant Prices of South Sumatra Province, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, Palembang Municipality, Banyuasin Regency in the period of 2010-2019. The analytical methods used are the Static of Location Quotient, the Dynamic Location Quotient, and the Strenghts Weaknesses Opportunitiens and Threats. The results of the analysis show that in Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, the potential sectors are the sectors of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries; and the sectors of Government Administration, Defense and Mandatory Social Security. Whereas the potential sectors in Palembang Municipality are the sectors of Water Supply, Waste Management, and Waste and Recycling, and also the sectors of Financial Services, Insurance, and Construction. Lastly, the potential sectors in Banyuasin Regency are the sectors of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries; and also the sectors of Construction. The development strategy that can be implemented is the development of the sectors of agriculture, agropolitan, agroindustry, and the sectors that have the potential to attract investors.
