The aims of this study are (1) to describe the needs of students and teachers for the development of learning media to understand hikayat text based on the articulate storyline 3 application for class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Lilin, (2) to describe the development design of the learning media for understanding hikayat text based on the articulate storyline 3 application for class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Lilin, (3) to describe the expert validations results on the development of learning media based on the Articulate Storyline 3 application for class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Lilin. This research and development refer to the Allesi and Trollip model with 9 stages of development. Data were obtained through interviews, questionnaires, and product validation tests. Data from interviews were analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques. Data from questionnaires were analyzed by tabulating data from all aspects. The data from the validation test results were analyzed by calculating the average score and categorizing it into a very feasible, decent, fairly decent, and not feasible table. Learning media validations results from the media expert obtained a total score of 36 maximum score of 48 with a percentage score of 75%, from a linguistic obtained a total score of 29 maximum score of 36 with a percentage score of 8.5%, from a material expert, obtained a total score of 33 maximum score of 4 with a percentage score of 75%. Based on the results of expert validation, the learning media for understanding hikayat text based on the articulate storyline 3 application for class X at SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Lilin is categorized as feasible.
