Background: Coronary heart disease (CHD) is the contributor to the highest mortality rate in the cardiovascular disease group which needs to be taken seriously because its high morbidity and mortality rates. Patients with heart disease who undergo surgery have a high risk for perioperative complications. This study was conducted to identify the incidence of CHD patients undergoing surgery at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang for the period July 2018 - June 2019. Methods: This study is a descriptive retrospective using secondary data in the form of patient medical records at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. The study sample was patients with CHD who underwent surgery. Data are presented descriptively in the form of tables and descriptions. Results: It was recorded that 104 CHD patients underwent surgery, 7.41% of all CHD patients were hospitalized. The age group with the most patients was in the age range 55 - 64 years (30.8%). There were more men (62.5%) than women (37.5%). The most types of CHD were undifferentiated CHD (67.3%), APS (10.6%), NSTEMI (8.7%), APTS (8.7%), STEMI (4.8%). The most common surgeries were noncardiac (81.8%) and cardiac (18.2%). In-hospital mortality is (5.8%). Conclusion: The incidence of coronary heart disease patients undergoing surgery at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang was 7,41% (104 of 1402 patients), the majority were male, aged 55-64 years, suffered from undifferentiated CHD, and underwent noncardiac surgery.
