KARAKTERISTIK GRADING HISTOPATOLOGIK KANKER PROSTAT DI DEPARTEMEN PATOLOGI ANATOMI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG PADA TAHUN 2015-2019
Background. Prostate cancer is one of most frequent malignancy in men. Incidence of prostate cancer in Indonesia was 11.361 cases with mortality rate was 44% in 2018, and this count may increase annually. Determine the histopathology grading is important for deciding the proper management of prostate cancer. This study aim to get the characteristic of prostate cancer histopathology grading at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Method. The cross-sectional descrptive study used secondary data of 216 medical record of patients histopathology diagnosed with prostate cancer during the period from 1st January 2015 to 31st December 2015 at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Result. Prostate cancer was often found in age range 60-69 years old and rarely found in age range 40-49 years old. As much 75,5% of prostate cancer patients categorized as gleason group 5 and only 0,1% of patient categorized as gleason group 1. Patients distribution with gleason group 5 was more frequent found in age range 60-69 years old and 70-79 years old as much 26,4% and 23,6%, respectively. In age range 40-49 years old (2,3%) only categorized as gleason group 4 and 5 as much 0,9% and 1,4%, respectively. Conclusion. Prostate cancer patients was mostly found in age group 60-69 years old. More than half of patients with prostate cancer diagnosed in advanced stage (gleason group 5). In advanced of age, incidence of prostate cancer with poor histopathology grading (poorly differentiated) would increase. Keywords. Prostate cancer, Gleason histopathology group, Old age
