PERILAKU MAKAN PADA TENAGA MEDIS DI PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN SAAT PANDEMI COVID-19
Introduction: Coronavirus Disease-19 (COVID-19) is a global pandemic that has infected various countries in the world, including Indonesia as the country with the highest mortality rate in Southeast Asia at 8.9%. Medical workers as the frontline in case of inhibiting the acceleration rate of COVID-19 have a high risk of transmission and increasing their workload. Good eating habits could be one of the factor in keeping the immunity of medical workers during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The goal of this study is to describe the eating habits of medical workers in South Sumatra Province during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: This study is a descriptive study with cross-sectional design. The used data are the primary data (questionnaire) obtained from the results of self-filled questionnaire via google form and obtained 216 samples. Result: This study shows that the respondents in this study had an increasing workload (60.4%) and showed changes in their eating habits when they were under various stresses. The average of carbohydrate consumption is 1 serving / day (29%), the average of vegetable protein consumption is 1 serving / day (36.8%), the average of animal protein consumption is 1 serving / day (35%), the average of vegetables consumption is 1 serving / day (36.9%) and the average of fruit consumption is 1 serving / day (41%) and the average frequency of main meal consumptions are 2x / day (49.3%) which is not in accordance with the Food Guidelines recommended by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. Conclusion: Medical workers in South Sumatra Province got changes in eating behavior during the COVID-19 Pandemic and not implementing the eating habits according to the Food Guidelines recommended by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Keywords: Eating Habits, COVID-19, Medical Workers
