PENGEMBANGAN VIDEO KEGIATAN ROTE COUNTING DAN RATIONAL COUNTING UNTUK ANAK USIA (4-5) TAHUN

This research aimed to develop the activity video of Rote Counting and Rational Counting whose validity and practicality had been tested. The development models used were Rowntree and Tessmer formative evaluation with analysis stages of needs, product design, and evaluation consisting of self evaluation, expert review, one-to-one evaluation, and small group evaluation. The data collection techniques were walkthrough, and observation. Once the data was collected, it was then analyzed by seeking the percentage to see the validity and the practicality. The validity was measured from the result of expert review of the product, while the practicality was observed from the result of one-to-one evaluation and small group evaluation that were done by the students. The findings of this study showed that the material validity was 82% and the product validity was 82%. It was found that the average of product validity was 82% which was categorized strongly valid. The one-to-one evaluation that involved three children resulted 90% and the small group evaluation involving nine children resulted 86%. The average of both evaluation was 88% which was categorized strongly practical. Therefore, the development of the activity video of Rote Counting and Rational Counting was declared valid and practical. Also, it was worth to use children aged (4-5) years old. The drawback of this research is the lack of additional observation instruments for parents, this is due to the limited time of researchers in conducting research.
