ANGKA KEJADIAN NEUROPATI DIABETIK PADA LABORATORIUM ENMG DI RSMH PALEMBANG PERIODE 1 JANUARI 2019 – 31 DESEMBER 2019
Diabetic neuropathy is a disease that occurs due to nerve damage in people with diabetes mellitus. Diabetes is the leading cause of peripheral neuropathy with an incidence of 50%. On diagnosing diabetic neuropathy, ENMG has high specificity and this diagnostic test can detect if there is a decrease in nerve function. This study aims to determine the prevalence of diabetic neuropathy at the ENMG laboratory at RSMH dr. Moh. Hoesin Palembang. This research was conducted with descriptive study using the medical record of diabetic neuropathy patients at ENMG laboratory RSMH on 2019 that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results of this research will be analyzed and presented in tables and description. Of 52 pasiens, the prevalence of diabetic neuropathy in 2019 was 4,7%. The distribution of patient with diabetic neuropathy majority were patients in the group 56—65 years old (38,5%), female (65,4%), history of diabetes melitus >5 years (61,5%), BMI (50%), and the type of nerve damage were mixed axonal demyelinating neuropathy (96,2%) The prevalence of diabetic neuropathy at ENMG laboratory RSMH Palembang is 4,7% with the distribution of majority patients aged 56—65 years, female sex, history of diabetes >5 years, HbA1c levels ≥8%, BMI 18,5—24,9 kg/m2 and most of them were suffer from mixed axonal demyelinating type.
