This research aims to find out whether there is an effect of the use of online learning media tools tagxedo on the writing skills of descriptive text in seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Talang Kelapa. This study used a quasi-experimental research method. The sample in this study is class VII 1 as the experimental class and class VII 3 as the control class. The data analysis technique in this study is the t-test calculation using the SPSS 25 program. The results of this study indicate that there is a difference in the average value between the experimental class and the control class. The average value of the experimental class pretest was 43.39 then increased from 35.96 to 79.35 in the final test. The initial average score of the control class was 36.13 then increased 19.19 to 55.32 in the final test. This shows an increase in the value of writing descriptive text between the experimental class and the control class by 24.03. The results of the t-test analysis showed that the t-count value was 6.723 and the t-table value was 1.671 with df 60. The t-test value> t-table (6.273> 1.671) which means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, with the acceptance of Ha it can be concluded that the use of online media tools tagxedo in learning more influential on the writing skills of descriptive text in class VII SMP Negeri 1 Talang Kelapa.
