PENGARUH STRATEGI SURVEY THE HEADINGS, CONNECT, READ THE TEXT, OUTLINE, LOOK BACK (SCROL) TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MEMAHAMI TEKS EKSPLANASI SISWA KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 2 AIR GEGAS BANGKA SELATAN
This research aimed at finding out the influence of group Survey The Headings, Connect, Read The Teks, Outline, Look Back (SCROL) strategy on the ability to comprehend empirical research text of the eighth grade students of junior high school 2 Air Gegas. The research method used is a quasi experimental method. The sample of the research composed of two classes, VIII A as the experiment class with group SCROL strategy treatment and VIII B as a control class that learns with conventional strategies. The technique used for collecting the data was using a test, and for the data processing, using t-test throught the SPPS 22 statistical analysis program. It was known that the average final score of the experimental class was 81,00 and the average final score of the control class was 68,84. The average difference in the final score of the experimental class and the final score of the class control class was 12,16. If tcount > ttable then Ho is rejected. From the calculation result throught the t-test at the 95 percent significance level and 62 degrees of freedom obtained that tcount (6,605) > ttable (1,999) then Ho was rejected . By rejecting Ho it means that there is a differencein in the ability to understand the text of the empirical research on students taugh with SCROL strategies with students taught with conventional strategies. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is an influence SCROL strategy on the ability to comprehend the empirical research text of the eighth grade students of junior high school 2 Air Gegas.
