Mosque is a component of religious architecture that cannot be separated from the spiritual, social, and cultural life of muslims. In its function as a religious architecture, mosque has been a communal base of society that does not only enforce the worship activities. Moreover, mosque became the basis for sustaining all aspects of community life. West Java is a province in Indonesia with the largest number of muslims and has 162,228 mosques. This fact makes West Java has the largest number of mosques compared to other provinces. This is an asset of West Java to be able to develop its spiritual, social, and cultural aspects in the lives of its people. Dewan Masjid Indonesia (DMI) is a community organization in the field of mosque affair which was established on June 22, 1972 with the aim of enhancing the faith, devotion, noble character, and intelligence of the people as well as the achievement of a just and prosperous society blessed by Allah SWT within the territory of the Republic of Indonesia. When looking at the role of the DMI, an architectural building is needed in order to accommodate educational and training activities about mosque affair. In addition to providing education and training, this building can also be an office and center for mosque activities for the muslims community. Therefore, it requires a planning and design of education and training center of DMI to accommodate all these activities. This education and training center applies an Islamic architecture approach with semiotic concept. Thus, Islamic geometry and symbols become the important elements that are raised in order to represent Islamic values in buildings. As a result, the building will be able to become the center of Islamic activities in mosque affair which is consisted by Islamic architectural elements.
