PEMODELAN METODE ELEMEN HINGGA PENGELASAN GESEK ROTASI PADA PENYAMBUNGAN MATERIAL DISSIMILAR
Friction welding is a fast and effective type of welding that is now commonly used in the manufacturing process in industrial companies. This type of friction welding is very easy and simple, and does not use metal additives where the two surfaces of the metal material being rubbed produce heat, then they are pressurized to be joined. The friction welding method is a technique of joining two metal materials, either the same or of different types. Modeling and simulation of friction welding was made with the help of Abaqus 6.14, because Abaqus is a software used to analyze a design using the Finite Element Analysis method. Geometry data of alumina and steel in this study with a length of 100 mm and a diameter of 10 mm. This study uses a friction time of 0.3 seconds and 0.32 seconds with a rotation speed of 900 rpm and a pressure of 1000 MPa. From the simulation results using Abaqus 6.14 software, the maximum temperature distribution value that occurs in the alumina specimen in step 2 = 0.3 seconds is 695oC. While the maximum temperature distribution value that occurs in steel specimens is 818oC. In the simulation results of step 2 = 0.32 seconds, the maximum temperature that occurs in the alumina specimen is 1247oC and the maximum temperature distribution value that occurs in the steel specimen is 1247oC.
