RESPON BAWANG MERAH (Allium ascalonicum L.) VARIETAS BIMA BREBES TERHADAP MEDIA TANAM BIOCHAR CANGKANG KELAPA SAWIT DAN PEMBERIAN PUPUK NPK
The aim of this study was to determine the response of shallots to the treatment of oil palm shell biochar growing media and NPK fertilizer. The research was conducted in Alang-alang Lebar sub-district, Palembang, South Sumatra from March to May 2020. This research used a factorial randomized block design (RBD) and the results of the observations were analyzed using variance and 5% BNT. The seeds used are the bima Brebes variety of shallots. The treatment consisted of two factors, the first factor was oil palm shell biochar (B) which consisted of four levels, namely B0 = Control, B1 = 50 g / polybags, B2 = 100 g / polybags, B3 = 150 g / polybags. The second factor is the provision of NPK which consists of four levels, namely N0 = Control, N1 = 5 g / polybags, N2 = 10 g / polybags, N3 = 15 g / polybags. Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers, number of tubers, tuber diameter, fresh weight of tubers, dry weight of tubers and weight of flakes per tuber. Based on the results of the research, the combination of oil palm shell biochar treatment at a dose of 150 g / polybag and NPK at a dose of 10 g / polybag gave the best results on plant height, number of tubers, fresh weight of tubers, dry weight of tubers and weight of flakes per tuber.
