Analysis of the ability of class IV B SDN 11 Indralaya students in determining the intrinsic elements of fairy tales on the Theme of My Parents' Work Sub-themes. This research was conducted with a qualitative descriptive analysis method. Data were collected through interviews with teachers and tests in the form of multiple choice questions and descriptions to students. The results showedthat the ability of most of the students is in the good category, with details of 10 people with a percentage of 40% being in the very good category. Furthermore, there are 3 people with a percentage of 12% in the good category. 9 people with a percentage of 36% are in the sufficient category. Then 1 person with a percentage of 4% is in the poor category, and 2 people with a percentage of 8% are in the failing category. Thus, overall, the ability of grade IV B students of SDN 11 Indralaya in determining the intrinsic elements of fairy tales in the Theme of Various Works on My Parents' Work Sub-themes is in a good category. The intrinsic elements that students can determine correctly are characterization and background elements, 21 people (84%) can determine the characterization elements correctly, and 22 people (88%) were able to determine the background elements of the story appropriately. While there were 4 students (16%) who were able to determine the elements of the theme, and there were 11 (44%) out of 25 people who could determine the elements of the flow appropriately.
