This research is a suitability analysis study that aims to: determine the suitability of basic competencies with the description of the material in each lesson content contained in the fourth grade student book with the theme of the area where I live curriculum 2013. 2013 revised edition 2017. The data collection technique used is documentation technique. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis which includes three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show the suitability of basic competencies with material descriptions in Indonesian language content of 69.90% in the appropriate category, PPKn content 73.14% in the appropriate category, 93.05% science content in the very appropriate category, IPS content 81.94% in the very appropriate category and SBdP content 71.29% in the category corresponding . From the results of the discussion, it can be concluded that the suitability of basic competencies with the material in the fourth grade student book with the theme of the area where I live overall gets a percentage of 75% with the appropriate category, so that the book can be used as a guide for students in carrying out the learning process.
