EVALUASI LAJU KECEPATAN PEMULIHAN TANAMAN PADI PASCA CEKAMAN TERENDAM
Rice plant may suffer from submergence stress due to flooding that commonly occurs during growth period. Recovery period after flooding is important for plant survival. Thus, this research was conducted to evaluate rice plant recovery rate after submergence condition as indicated in some growth parameters. The research was conducted in experimental tank of Agronomy Department, Agriculture Faculty of Sriwijaya University from February to May 2020. Split plot experimental design was used with rice varieties as main plot, and submergence period as sub-plot with three replicates. IR 42 (non tolerant variety) and Inpari 30 (tolerant variety) were used. Destructive samplings were carried out for six times to obtain the increament data of plant height, root length, leaf area, leaf greeness level, tiller number, leaf dry weight, stem dry weight, root dry weight, and total plant dry weight. Growth analysis then was also calculated. Results showed that submergence treatment had significant effect on leaf greeness level, increament of leaf area, leaf and stem dry weight. The effect, however, was insignificant on the increament of plant height, tiller number, root length and root dry weight. Keywords: Recovery, Rice, Submergence
