Governance management of Information Technology can be used to improve effectiveness in aligning IT governance and management, achieving vision and mission planning, and then managing the division of staff tasks. In this minithesis, the framework used is COBIT 5 which focuses on the APO domain so that it can provide recommendations for improving the quality of IT management for each activity carried out in the domain. In the overall results of the assessment that has been obtained in the management of UPT TIK Sriwijaya University are at level 1 and level 0. From the results of these assessments, a gap can be reached between the current level that has been reached and the level desired by the UPT TIK Sriwijaya University at the level 3. In overcoming this gap, recommendations for fulfilling the governance management process of information technology at level 1 are based on skills in the APO domain, then priority recommendations are made based on urgency and recommendations for improving the process of governance management information technology to level 2 and level 3 according to needs stakeholders in UPT TIK Sriwijaya University.
