This research aims to find out the science literacy skills of junior high school students in Tanjung Raja District to answer the question of PISA Biology. This research is a quantitative descriptive that describes the competence of science literacy based on three indicators, namely (1) explaining scientific phenomena, (2) interpreting scientific data and evidence, and (3) evaluate and design scientific questions. The sampling using purposive sampling techniques that get of 223 students at IX class from five schools. Data collection uses tests, questionnaires, and interviews. The PISA instrument test is used as many as 25 questions divided into 17 simple multiple choice questions and 8 complex multiple choice questions. Data analysis techniques are done in a statistically descriptive. The results showed that overall the science literacy ability of students in Tanjung Raja District was very low at 50,2%, low at 34.1%, which is quite 5.8%, high at 0.4%, very high at 9.4%. Viewed from the three indicators of scientific literacy competence students correctly answer indicators explaining scientific phenomena by 45%, interpreting data and scientific evidence by 54%, competence to evaluate and design scientific questions by 38%. Significance test results showed that of the three indicators of science literacy competence in each school had a significant affect. The perception of students about PISA with a very low category of 8%, a less category of 4,7%, a moderate category of 48,1%, good category of 23,6%, and very good of 15,6%. The conclusion of this study is that junior high school students in Tanjung Raja District have very low categorized biological science literacy.
