This research aimed was to determine the pattern of acid detergent fiber (ADF) degradation of three species of swamp grasses, Bento Rayap grass (Leersia hexandra Sw.), Sendayan grass (Rhynchospora corymbosa) and Purun Tikus grass (Eleocharis dulcis)) by in sacco in swamp buffalo. The research was carried out from February to June 2020 at the Animal Nutrition and Forage Laboratory of Animal Husbandry Study Program, Department of Animal Technology and Industry, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The research used a completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatments and each treatments consist of three replications. The observed variables of this study included ADF degradation patterns, easily degraded fraction (a), potentially degraded (b) and the rate of degraded of the fraction b (c). The data obtained were analyzed with SPSS Version 16.0 followed by the Duncan test. Furthermore, the degradation curve was procesed used the Microsoft Exel 2007. The results of this study showed that the pattern of degradation Sendayan and Bento rayap grass had similar pattern of degradation. The values of fractions a, b, c and the incubation period of 48 hours of ADF degradation had varying values for each of the swamp grass (Bento Rayap grass, Sendayan grass and Purun Tikus grass) the highest degradation rate, the value of soluble a fraction, was found in Bento Rayap grass (37.98%), the highest degraded b fraction was found in Purun Tikus grass (32.79%) and degraded c fraction of the rate fraction b was found in Bento Rayap grass of 0.94%. The variation in the values of fractions a, b, c and an incubation period of 48 hours could be concluded that Bento Rayap grass has the highest ADF degradation compared to another swamp grass species (Sendayan grass and Purun Tikus grass).
