PENGARUH VARIASI BERAT PENAMBAHAN BATUBARA 60 MESH PADA ALUMINIUM COR TERHADAP KEKUATAN LELAH
In terms of calculating the strength of the material in a construction or machine element, it is very important because the material will get a load repeatedly (dynamic) which causes the material to experience fatigue and damage. Basically, in choosing the right material for a construction component and the machine already has a standard, of course, with a variety of predetermined assumptions. In this study, the author will try to add 60 mesh coal with a weight variation of 12.5 grams and 25 grams using the aluminum casting method made in a fatigue test sample given a heat treatment variation of 1 (one) and 3 (three) hours and no heat treatment aims to calculate , comparing and mechanical properties of these aluminum samples. The main ingredient in casting in this study is scrap aluminum from the waste of making decorative cabinets. The results obtained from this study are that it is known that aluminum scrap after XRF (X-Ray Fluorescence) testing is known to be the type of AA6061, in this case the addition of coal does not affect the chemical composition of the aluminum. The fracture in the fatigue test on the brittle fracture type of aluminum sample, and the added coal in aluminum casting increases the fault cycle which means it can extend the fracture life when compared to cast aluminum without the addition of coal.
