PT. Taspen (Persero) is a State Owned Enterprise (BUMN) which is trusted by the government as the organizer of Social Insurance. As a government owned company, PT. Taspen (Persero) issued an innovation called the Taspen Authentication application which aims to make it easier for taspen participants to take pension rights. However, this application received many complaints from Taspen participants, namely that it was called an application that made it very difficult for Taspen participants. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of using the taspen authentication application at PT. Taspen (Persero) Palembang Branch Office. This study uses the theory of effectiveness proposed by Richard M. Steers with three assessment components, namely goal optimization, systems perspective (input, throughput, output) and pressure on human behavior. This research uses qualitative research with qualitative descriptive research methods through observation, in-depth interviews, literature study and documentation with informants from internal PT. Taspen (Persero) Palembang Branch Office and taspen participants. The results of this study indicate that the indicators of the purpose formulation of the Taspen Authentication application are said to be effective. The input in the Human Resources (HR) sub-indicator and facilities and infrastructure is not yet effective, while in the sub-indicator for public complaints it is already effective. Throughput (process) in the form of service methods and procedures has been effective. The output in the form of application realization and target suitability and realization is effective. And indicators of pressure on human behavior in the form of fairness and non- discrimination, carefulness and courtesy and friendliness have been effective. Based on the research that has been done, it can be seen that the use of the Taspen Authentication application at PT. Taspen (Persero) Palembang Branch Office is effective. The suggestions given are that the server which was initially centralized was made decentralized, providing a special place and a special officer to serve authentication.
