Soil functions as a support for the foundation of the structure above it. However, not all soils have good characteristics. If the soil has a low bearing capacity, it can cause a construction failure factor. So it is necessary to stabilize the soil to improve the characteristics of the soil. The stabilization that is carried out is chemical stabilization using rice husk ash (RHA) and lime waste (calcium carbide residue / CCR). Waste carbide is obtained from the reaction of CaC2 and water (H2O) to form acetylene gas (C2H2). Meanwhile, rice husk ash is the residue of burning rice husk which contains SiO2 and is classified as a pozzolanic material. In this way, the two addictive ingredients can become cementation materials and can increase the strength of the soil. This study used a percentage of rice husk ash as much as 9% and a variation of carbide waste as much as 3%, 6%, 9%, 12% and 15% in loam soils. The test carried out is the Triaxial Law test with its maintenance period. The results showed that rice husk ash and carbide waste were able to improve soil properties index due to chemical reactions from mixed soil. The research also showed that the cohesion value (c), the inner shear angle (ϕ) and the shear strength (τf) continued to increase until the optimum limit occurred at 9% rice husk ash and 9% carbide waste, namely 0.754 kg / respectively. cm², 14.14 ° and 6.306 kg / cm². Furthermore, the value of shear strength (τf) of soil has decreased with the addition of variations of 12% and 15%, the increase in shear strength (τf) of soil is also influenced by the maintenance period, the value of shear strength (τf) of soil occurs during the 7 day treatment period.
