PENGARUH NAUNGAN PLASTIK HITAM DAN BENING PADA TANAMAN CAISIM ( Brassica juncea L. ) YANG DIAPLIKASIKAN Bacillus thuringiensis TERHADAP KEMATIAN LARVA Spodoptera litura
Grayworm (Spodopteralitura) is polyphagic or can live on various types of vegetables. The alternative to control that pests on caisim is to use biological control by utilizing B. thuringiensis. The purpose of this research was to study the impact of sunlight intensity on the growth of caisim plants. And to find out whether the toxicity of B. thuringiensis-based bioinsecticide that has a high effect on the mortality of S. litura. This research was conducted using Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 3 treatments and 5 replications, the treatment was in the form of black plastic shade, clear plastic and without plastic or control. In making bioinsecticide, B. thuringiensis prepared media is biourine, molasses, and nutrient broth (NB) media. Bioinsecticides were applied with a sprayer on the leaves of the caisim plant with a concentration of 25 ml of bioinsecticide solution and 75 ml of water. Test insects used were instar 2 of 5 larvae of S. litura each treatment. Symptoms of infection of infected larvae change color to dark and if observed the body of the larva will increasingly shrink. The mean mortality, body of larvae, weight of impurities and leaf area eaten by S. litura larvae showed no significant difference in bioinsecticide treatment.
