STUDI PENGARUH VARIASI TEMPERATURE SINTERING TERHADAP SIFAT MEKANIK DAN FISIK KOMPOSIT HA/SiO2
In this study using beef bone and silica as specimens for the sintering process. From the sintering results obtained changes in the mechanical and physical properties of hydroxyapatite. The color of the beef bone powder changes after the sintering process. This is due to the decomposition of organic substance in bone powder where the beef bones before sintering at room temperature are yellowish white, black at 500°C, gray at 600-800°C, and turn white 900-1100°C. A very significant change can be seen in the physical properties where the color of hydroxyapatite becomes white, this is due to the loss of organic elements contained in hydroxyapatite. This sintering is done using a furnace. The purpose of doing a compressive test on this specimen is in order to see the mechanical properties contained in the specimen. The results of the density test were obtained by comparing the mass of the wet specimen and the mass of the dry object specimen with a composite of 80% HA / 20% SiO2. The purpose of this XRD test is to determine the phase of the powder being tested. Then the phase is analyzed based on the results of the graph formed by adjusting each peak with the ICDD database 00-009-0432 with a predetermined phase. This XRD test used a specimen with a porous HA/SiO2 composite with a temperature variation of 1100°C and 1200°C.
